specially treated stainless steel ball bearings that are at least 10
times more corrosion resistant than standard stainless steel ball
bearings.
• Variable Brake System (VBS) uses centrifugal force rather than magnets to aid in controlling the cast for increased distance and adjustability.
• Super Stopper is a one-way roller bearing that eliminates backplay for solid hooksets.
• Assist Stopper is
a back-up anti-reverse system that reduces the stress placed on the
one-way roller bearing to increase durability (not available on 50 or
100 sizes).
• Dartainium Drag material provides a wide range of drag settings and the smoothest Shimano drag performance ever.
• Quick Take Down by
unscrewing the 3 thumb screws the sideplate can be easily removed for
maintenance or to adjust the VBS brake weights (2 screws on CT50B).
• Septon this handle grip material is soft to the touch and does not get slippery when wet.
• Easy Access Sideplate by
using a single thumbscrew, the angler can open the sideplate and adjust
the VBS without having to remove the spool from the reel (100 and 200
sizes only).
• Lo-Mass Drilled Spool System reduces the weight of the spool by drilling, and lowers start-up inertia for more manageable casts (CT200GTB only).
• Drilled Crossbar reduces the overall weight of the reel (CT200GTB only).
• Clicker increases tension on freespool and activates a clicking alarm when a fish bites (400 & 700 sizes only).

Septon coated handle grip allows for 3 different hand positions fore
various fishing techniques (CT400BSV, CT700B & CT700BSV only).
• SV Power Paddles are the largest of the paddle grips and provide extra fish fighting power when battling feisty inshore species (CT400B only).
• Non-Levelwind Version the CT400BSV and CT700BSV are designed without levelwind systems to enhance line control when fishing in live bait situations.
• Manual Return Clutch Lever the
CT700B and CT700BSV are designed with a manual return clutch lever for
better line control in live bait or drop back situations.
• Non-Disengaging Lewelwind System
allows the levelwing to track back and forth during the cast which
reduces drastic line angles that cause unwanted friction and backlashes
on wide-spool reels (CT400B and CT700B only).
